Show Notes

For Fall/Winter 2026, Patricio Campillo returned to New York Fashion Week with a collection that examines the relationship between clothing, identity and restriction.

Founded in Mexico City in 2017, Campillo has built its language around a contemporary interpretation of Mexican heritage, drawing from Charro culture, ranch life, Mexican modernism and traditional craftsmanship. Rather than treating those references as decoration, Campillo uses them as a foundation for reconsidering modern masculinity and the way clothing shapes perception.

For FW26, that investigation turns toward restriction.

Campillo looked to historical corsetry and the uncomfortable undergarments once used to shape the body, translating their structural language into a contemporary wardrobe. Corset belts, saddle-like constructions and precise tailoring appear throughout the collection, creating tension between control and movement.

The collection continues Campillo’s interest in the body as a vessel for identity, how clothing can constrain, protect, transform and ultimately change the way we see ourselves.

Presented during New York Fashion Week, FW26 brings together Campillo’s signature precision and cultural references with a more intimate examination of the structures that have historically defined the way bodies are dressed.

Organizer

Campillo was founded in 2017 by Mexican designer Patricio Campillo. Born and raised in Mexico City, Campillo initially studied communications and luxury marketing before working across fashion journalism, styling, communications and art direction. A period working in Paris, including under fashion editor Tiffany Godoy, pushed him toward becoming a self-taught designer. He created his first collection in 2015 before establishing his namesake brand two years later.

Campillo's work is rooted in Mexican identity, particularly Charro culture, ranch life, Mexican modernism and artisanal craftsmanship. The brand approaches those references through contemporary tailoring rather than straightforward traditional dress. Sustainability and collaboration with Mexican artisans are also central to the practice.

Campillo was a 2024 LVMH Prize semi-finalist, further establishing the label within the international fashion landscape.
